Anzac Day 2013 - we will be in Villers-Bretonneux!

In 2013 the Sydney Male Choir celebrates it's Centenary and it has now been confirmed by Department of Veterans Affairs that the choir will have the honour to represent Australia by singing at the Dawn Service on 25th April in Villers-Bretonneux.

This will one of the highlights of our Centenary Year and will be the start of a tour that will take in France, Belgium and UK.

THE SYDNEY MALE CHOIR

BE A PART OF HISTORY

Ever since their inception the Sydney Male Choir has led the singing at the Anzac Day Dawn Service at the Cenotaph in Martin Place.

Now, in their Centenary Year, 2013, the Choir has been asked to represent Australia at the service in Villers-Bretonneux, the Somme, France. This is a significant milestone in the history of the choir and we hope to be able to muster the best choir we can to honour this important event. While we are in Europe we will also take the opportunity to join in a Festival of Male Choirs to held be in Cornwall, UK and visit and perform with other choirs in the region.

To aid in the travel and related expenses that this will involve we are inviting you to join our Honour Roll of Heroes by pledging either a one-off donation or an ongoing covenant of a monthly gift.

All donors will be honoured in our Centenary Brochure which will be distributed both here and in Europe at all of our concerts.

If you are involved in your own business or have connections with businesses which have local and overseas interests we would invite you to submit suitable advertising copy and bid for a spot in our Centenary Brochure.

All donations are tax deductible.

Thank you,

President

PS As an additional incentive to make a donation, if you donate over $50 you will receive one of our special Centenary Bears to be a permanent reminder of the choir and of our centenary. The bears have been kindly donated by Norma Rosenhain, Chief Executive of Creata, who is a Vice Patron of the choir.
